I don't know enough about Stephen Taylor to really say, although he does seem a a bit more reasonable than some of the other Tory bloggers. Quite frankly I have found some Tories to be quite nerve racking, but I just ignore them now since getting all upset about it does nothing as they won't change their views. At least they are a minority in this country and that is what matters.
As for Garth Turner, he did break his principles by defecting to the Liberals in terms of him initially been opposed to crossing the floor, but I don't think he has compromised his principles as a Progressive Conservative as he just one of many including myself to feel the Liberals are more in line with their views than the current Conservatives. In fact as he said at the time of the defection, there is no party whose views are in line with the former Progressive Conservatives, but the Liberals are the closest of what there is, which I agree with.
